How to install a fiberglass pool in your garden?
- Let’s find out what size pool fits in your garden comfortably.
- Find a level or position as possible in the area you wish to put a pool.
This should be at least 1 m away from the house walls on a single storey home and even more for a double storey home I would not put a pool any closer than 1.2 off a double storey home and maybe more depending on the soil composition u do not want to undermine your foundations
- Measure at least 80cm to edge of Coping if you can, a lot of boundary walls have square piles comIng out about 70 cm every 2.5m.
Same with boundary walls.
- Make sure you choose an area where there are no underground pipes or electric cables or where you think there may be an Underground obstructions.
- Choose an area that is not subject to a lot of water run off; although this can be overcome by raising the level of the pool above Natural Ground.
- Get 4 tent pegs timber pegs or 30 cm pieces of cut rio bar and some string , rope or twine.
- Find the highest point and where you want 1 corner of the pool to start giving yourself ample space to put at least 40 cm of concrete.
- Measure the width to another corner and place that peg in the ground too.
Measure the length you want out and put another peg in the ground and the same on the other corner.
- Square up the best you can and put your string or twine around it step back and have a look and see if you’re comfortable with that size.
Adjust to bigger or smaller to suit. Diagonal distance from corner to corner should be exactly the same distance as the other diagonal.
- LOOK FOR WHERE YOUR PUMP AND FILTER GOES SO IT WONT BE INTRUSIVE AND REMEMBER U WILL HAVE TO GET POWER TO THE PUMP AND FILTER.
In Thailand people tend to go for pump houses , this is okay however it is unnecessary.
- THE EQUIPMENT IS ALL WEATHER EQUIPMENT AND IS QUITE OKAY ON A CONCRETE SLAB AT THE SIDE OF A HOUSE UP AGAINST THE WALL OR WHEREVER YOU CAN GET POWER TO THE PUMP AND FILTER ETC.
We have sold over 3,000 pools in Australia and hardly anybody does a pump house. If you do make sure it’s well ventilated and humidity does not build up too high, this can cause condensation to your Chlorinator and cause malfunction.
